Advance Care Hospital of Fort Smith is located within St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center, a health system that has served the needs of Fort Smith and surrounding communities since 1905. Advance Care Hospital of Fort Smith opened in May 1993. Today it has a total of 25 long-term acute care beds to provide care to medically complex patients. These patients require extended acute care hospitalization with specialty programs focusing on ventilator dependency, wound care, and rehabilitation. Services provided by Advance Care Hospital of Fort Smith include, but are not limited to, the following: 24-hour nursing care, acute and post-ICU medical care, ventilator care and weaning with 24-hour respiratory care, wound care, comprehensive inpatient physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood transfusions, dialysis, therapeutic nutritional support, pain management, case management, social work services, patient and family education.

Administrator: Keith Rogers
Keith Rogers joined CHRISTUS Dubuis Health System as Director of Risk Management/Safety in 1995 and has been crucial in developing a refined system of risk prevention throughout the organization. He still serves in that capacity while holding the position of Administrator in Hot Springs, as well as Regional Administrator for multiple sites. Experience gained prior to his CHRISTUS Dubuis affiliation included physician recruitment and industrial safety. Keith's MBA and his B.S. in Business Administration were both earned at University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the MBA Association.

Medical Director: William Dudding, MD
Dr. William Dudding is board certified in Family Practice. Dr. Dudding received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas. His residency was completed at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
