Dubuis Hospital of Shreveport is located within CHRISTUS Schumpert—St. Mary Place, which has a long, proud tradition of providing the community and surrounding areas with the latest technology combined with the best possible hands-on care. Dubuis Hospital of Shreveport originally opened in December 1994 and moved its site inside of CHRISTUS Schumpert—St. Mary Place in July 1996. Today it has a total of 36 long-term acute care beds to provide care to medically complex patients. These patients require extended acute care hospitalization with specialty programs focusing on ventilator dependency, wound care, and rehabilitation. Services provided by Dubuis Hospital of Shreveport include, but are not limited to, the following: 24-hour nursing care, acute and post-ICU medical care, ventilator care and weaning with 24-hour respiratory care, wound care, comprehensive inpatient physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood transfusions, dialysis, therapeutic nutritional support, pain management, case management, social work services, patient and family education.

Our Complete Healthcare Delivery System offers a state-licensed hospital environment with intensive/high-tech nursing skills. We are Joint Commission accredited and Medicare certified. We also accept most major managed care plans and Medicare Advantage plans such as Vantage, Humana Gold, Arcadian and many more.
Our Physician Coverage includes daily physician visits, depending on the medical needs of the patients. In-House Services include Respiratory Therapy, Rehabilitation Therapies (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy), Pharmacy and Diagnostic Services including MRI, CT, Endoscopy and Radiology. Case Management services include interdisciplinary teams, case managers and cost containment. Over 150 physicians are members of our medical staff.
Regional Administrator: Holly Powell
With Dubuis Health System since the 2002 opening of Dubuis Hospital of Paris, Holly has served in the Administrator capacity since 2007. Powell earned both her MBA and BBA from Texas A&M, Commerce. Previous experience was gained in Human Resources at an area CHRISTUS Hospital and with Dubuis Hospital of Paris.
Regional Clinical Administrator: Fiona M. Adams RN, MS
Fiona M. Adams has been an RN for over 30 years. Although from Scotland, she received her initial RN degree in England. Since coming to the U.S. Fiona has worked in several facilities in both clinical and administrative roles. She joined the CHRISTUS System in 2006, at CHRISTUS Spohn, and joined the Dubuis Family, as Director of Patient Care in Texarkana, in September, 2009.
Visiting Hours—Visitors are welcome at any time with no set visiting hours. However, we do reserve the right to limit visitors and/or visiting hours due to the patient’s medical condition.
