Administrator: Gary Kempf View Biography
Gary Kempf joined CHRISTUS Dubuis Health System as Administrator of the Alexandria facility in 2008. Prior to joining CHRISTUS Dubuis, Gary served as Director of Clinical Services for an international recruiting agency specializing in the recruitment of registered nurses and physical therapists from the Philippines. He served as Chief Nursing Officer at Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore, Texas. Gary has a BSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing. He also holds a Masters Degree in Public Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Dr. Bruce Barton received his medical degree from Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were also completed at Tulane University Medical Center.

CHRISTUS Dubuis Hospital of Alexandria is located within the host facility, CHRISTUS
St. Frances Cabrini Hospital which has consistently been recognized as
a high-quality health care provider for the more than 400,000 residents of
central Louisiana. CHRISTUS Dubuis Hospital of Alexandria opened in December 1993
as a 25 bed facility. Today, it has a total of 33 long-term acute care beds to
provide care to medically complex patients. These patients require extended
acute care hospitalization with specialty programs focusing on ventilator
dependency, wound care, and rehabilitation. Services provided by CHRISTUS Dubuis Hospital
of Alexandria include, but are not limited to, the following: 24-hour
nursing care, acute and post-ICU medical care, ventilator care and weaning with
24-hour respiratory care, wound care, comprehensive inpatient physical,
occupational, and speech rehabilitation, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood
transfusions, dialysis, therapeutic nutritional support, pain management, case
management, social work services, patient and family education.
