Administrator: Barbara Flournoy View Biography
Barbara has been with Dubuis Health System since she accepted the role of Director of Patient Care Services at the 1996 opening of our 30 bed long term acute care facility at Dubuis Hospital of Houston. She subsequently served as Assistant Administrator for Dubuis Hospitals of Houston, Beaumont and Port Arthur before assuming her current Administrator role for Beaumont and Port Arthur. Originally an LVN from Lamar University, Barbara later earned a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston School of Nursing. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. Barbara is a current member of the Texas Nurses Association and the Houston Organization of Nurse Executives. Medical

Dubuis Hospital of Port Arthur is located within CHRISTUS St. Mary
Hospital, a progressive health care facility in south Jefferson County
that has continued to adapt and change to meet the needs of the community since
1930. Dubuis Hospital of Port Arthur opened in January 1999, as a
satellite of Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont. Today it has a total of 15
long-term acute care beds to provide care to medically complex patients. These
patients require extended acute care hospitalization with specialty programs
focusing on ventilator dependency, wound care, and rehabilitation. Services
provided by Dubuis Hospital of Port Arthur include, but are not limited
to, the following: 24-hour nursing care, acute and post-ICU medical care,
ventilator care and weaning with 24-hour respiratory care, wound care,
comprehensive inpatient physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation,
cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood transfusions, dialysis, therapeutic
nutritional support, pain management, case management, social work services,
patient and family education.
