For
Medical Professionals
Our hospitals offer highly specialized staff and full service
support teams to provide interdisciplinary services to individuals with the
following needs or conditions:
-
Medically Complex: These patients require daily
monitoring and intervention by health care professionals. This can include, but
is not limited to, forms of intervention such as:
Long term IV therapy
-
Infectious Diseases
-
Multi-system Failure
-
Cardiovascular Diseases
-
Sepsis
|
Cancer
-
Neurological Conditions
-
Renal Disorders
-
Nutritional Impairment

Ventilator Management: When patients admitted to
Dubuis, are dependent upon mechanical ventilation, they require 24 hour respiratory management,
ventilator weaning or ventilator dependence management, constant monitoring, and
multiple or complex interventions by specialized, professioncal staff. Patients often
have dysfunctions that involve multi-system failure such as COPD or respiratory failure.
-
Respiratory Rehabilitation: Medical conditions such as
cardiovascular disease, pulmonary fibrosis, or muscular dystrophy have
compromised the respiratory systems of these oxygen dependant patients. In
addition, the rehabilitation process is complicated by medically
necessary monitoring and intervention.
-
Wound Management: Servere wounds, including infected and
necrotic conditions that fail to heal with traditional treatment, may require
special therapy beds, protective devices, and frequent repositioning. In
addition to IV antibiotics and nutritional support, wound care patients may
require specialized therapies, such as whirlpool, tissue replacement and
rehabilitation services.
All Dubuis patients must be referred by a physician. Once
referred, each patient will be evaluated to ensure that they meet the Dubuis
admission criteria. When accepted, our patients are assigned individual goals
and treatment plans developed by a multidisciplinary team. Throughout the
patients stay, Dubuis focuses on the whole person, providing holistic care that
includes both the emotional and spiritual needs of that patient.
